I am happy that the shops are closed and the streets are quiet. It is nice to have a break from the hub bub every so often.
I have a simmering pot of chili on the stove. Yum. Something else to look forward to!
Well, no snow here yet but I have been painting winter scenes recently. This is for sale on ebay right now. I like to imagine myself in the pictures I paint. I am sitting in the room with the wee cat in the window, reading a book by the fireplace.
In reality, the rain is a steady downpour outside and Monty is sitting on the window ledge very interested in the drops plopping off the eves.
I usually put on the telly or some music or CBC radio to keep me company. Sometimes I can look at a painting and remember what I was listening to when I painted it!
Later I have to deliver a piece to a lovely woman in the city. It is always fun to have someone local buy a painting. I never know until an auction is over, where the painting will be headed. Generally they travel far away.
I wonder what it would be like to copy master paintings all day with an audience peering over your shoulder. The artist working on this one was wearing a shirt with tie! You can see his jacket hanging on the easel.
A very curious silver tabby.We have had him in our home for three weeks now and I am amazed at the speed kittens grow. He is double the size he was !
He is fascinated with my painting. The flick of the brush back and forth mesmerizes him. He sits and watches with beady eyes until he can't stand it any more and attempts a bat or two. Shortly after this photo was taken, the water jar on the right was knocked over. Surprised both of us!
